Tony Iommi
Todos conocen la historia de como Iommi perdió parte de los dedos de la mano derecha. Iommi era zurdo, por lo que para volver a tocar la guitarra, probablemente la solución más práctica hubiera sido girar su guitarra y aprender a tocar como diestro, pero reconoció que ya tenía una forma de tocar, no tendría la paciencia para aprender a tocar de nuevo con su otra mano. Esa es la razón de porque usó las "prótesis" que él mismo fabricó: para poder seguir tocando con la mano izquierda.

El fundador y guitarrista rítmico de Avenged Sevenfold es zurdo y toca con guitarras para zurdos. Aunque, como el mismo ha contado en diversas ocasiones, aprendió a tocar la guitarra de forma diestra, pero luego, inspirado en otros guitarristas famosos (como Hendrix y otro tantos), decidió aprender a tocar la guitarra con la mano izquierda, lo que a decir verdad le agrega mucha visualidad a sus presentaciones junto a la banda.
