Darker Mysteria es una banda de Black metal oriunda de Córdoba, hoy en día, a pesar de ser under, tienen una gran influencia y se presentaron en grandes festivales como The Pagan Emperor Fest 8, Speed King, Criminal Metal Camp y su ultima fecha fue como teloneros de Aura Noir en su primera presentación en Buenos Aires el pasado 23 de enero.
Momento previo a comenzar el show, hubo una oportunidad de conocerlos a fondo.
A: ¿Cómo arrancó Darker Mysteria?
Darker: En si arrancó como un proyecto solista en el 2012 en el cual grabe un E.P, “Fantasma de la niebla nocturna”, luego de eso surgió la idea de buscar músicos que en lo particular tuvieran que ver con el black metal y armé la banda para poder llevar eso en vivo. Tuvo una buena repercusión el E.P, salió editado por Furias Records el disco «Arcana luna funeral» que contiene los mismos temas del EP.
Empezamos a hacer más fechas y la propuesta comenzó a tener más forma hasta el día de hoy, que fuimos cambiando de formación, la actual es con la que me siento más cómodo, Dr. Death en la guitarra, Svart Sjel de Nemoris en el bajo, un honor tenerlo en la banda y también Noctem Aeternus en la batería.
Estamos acá con un nuevo disco en puerta editado por Furias llamado «Oratoria de sombras» y con mucha expectativa por el show que vamos a dar ahora con Aura Noir.
A: ¿Qué propuesta diferente tiene este nuevo trabajo?
D: El concepto lírico se mantiene porque es una línea filosófica que yo sigo, en cuanto a lo estético sigue el ocult black metal, en particular las letras en castellano, una poesía oscura y dramática que refleja lo relacionado con la naturaleza, la noche, la oscuridad, el poder de Lucifer y demás.
Pienso que tengo una línea, un estilo, cantar en castellano es algo difícil de encontrar, quizás en otras bandas no les queda bien y por eso optan por el inglés, cada cual tiene su estilo pero yo voy a seguir en esta postura, respetando la línea melódica con bases rápidas, nunca dejando la melodía en las guitarras sobre todo, tratando de mantener la brutalidad que es importante en el black metal. Es una propuesta bastante homogénea, quizás con algunas cosas más sucias, si se quiere decir un black más crudo y noventoso, no tan como «Catamendia» u otras bandas finlandesas que quizás no transmiten oscuridad.
Dr. Death: En este nuevo trabajo también hay un cover de «Bathory» en ingles, ya nos pidió Furias un EP para hacer próximamente con algunos temas de este disco pero en versión en inglés, probablemente dos, quizás un cover y un tema en vivo para hacerlo con algunas cosas diferentes

A: que hay detrás de Darker Mysteria?
D: Detrás de Dr. Death esta Antonio, un amigo desde “Prosapio” en los 90, un orgullo que este acá conmigo apoyándome en todo esto, esta bueno tocar con amigos que te hacen sentir otras cosas. Después esta Svart Sjel, el cantante de Nemoris que se puso a tocar la guitarra y a cantar, hoy es el frontman, yo hace años toque el bajo con él y de ahí nace una amistad. Al tenerlos a ellos dos en la banda que son referentes de hace muchos años. Por último el Noctem Aeternus en la batería que hace poco se integró y logramos tener una muy buena afinidad y muy buena conexión en cuanto a lo musical y lo humano.
Estoy muy agradecido de que ellos estén conmigo.
A: ¿Que es lo que ven en proyección?
D: El nuevo disco trae muchas cosas, quedan muchos kilómetros por recorrer, tengo la fe de que esta formación va a llevar el nuevo disco en vivo y lo ideal es llevarlo a godos los rincones del país y salir también, en el 2013 tocamos en Brasil con la formación anterior y nos fue muy bien, dejamos bien representado el país.
En cuanto a la banda hoy por hoy la idea es hacer gira por el norte, Salta, Jujuy, la Rioja, San Luis y el sur también.
Ahora tocamos con Aura Noir, u a banda muy emblemática del black trash, una fecha que a nosotros nos genera mucha buena energía
Dr. Death: Nos queda ahora terminar de editar el vídeo clip filmado en Alta Gracia, Córdoba, una posible fecha en abril con Sacrario, una banda de trash de Brasil muy buena en abril y el tercer trabajo de la banda bajo el sello de Furias «oratoria de sombras».
El show que brindaron fue muy energético, tanto para ellos como para la audiencia que sin falta hicieron el clásico pogo, en comparación con otras bandas de black metal nacional, hubo hasta casi más afinidad con el público.
Sin lugar a dudas un buen espectáculo en cuanto a lo musical, la imagen y relación banda-tribuna.
